The D8 visa is a residency permit designed for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens who work remotely (as freelancers, contractors, or employees) for clients/companies outside Portugal. It enables you to live in Portugal while maintaining remote income, with options for temporary stay or longer-term residency leading potentially to permanent residence.
